The source of this rumor is a Chinese website MyDriver which has proven to be a trustworthy source. So what exactly is Volta?

About The Geforce 20 series.

According to Nvidia the Volta Architecture is the largest chip endeavor ever. The new Volta Architecture based graphics card reported to be the Geforce 20 series will launch in the third quater of this year according to MyDriver. The company is using the same TSMC’s 16nm FinFET proccess node technology. According to WccfTech the new Geforce 20 series will have twice of everything that the pascal has. Nvidia stated using their roadmap that Nvidia Volta GV100 Graphics Cards will be capable of delivering SGEMM of 72 GFLOPs/Watt as compared to 42 GFLOPs/Watt.

The Volta was supposed to use the 10nm tech but it has confirmed that Nvidia will be using the TSMC’s 16nm tech.
