MSI’s new hybrid gaming storage array is the best thing for me shown at this year’s Computex. The MSI Hybrid Gaming Storage card is all in one PCIe storage card that holds 2 M2 NVMe SSDs and a 2.5″ HDD.

According to MSI, the dual NVMe SSDs are capable of transferring data at a speed of 7200MB/second running in RAID zero. To protect the data, the card comes with super capacitors that will prevent the data transfer to be cancelled in case of power loss. It comes with a custom blower style fan that takes care of the airflow.

MSI says that the card will ship in Branded MSI Desktop systems. According to Anandtech, the company don’t have any plans for a standalone release of this Hybrid Gaming Storage Card. The company aims the gamers having problems with slow speed HDDs. Currently, no other details have emerged. The card is still a prototype and we can’t expect this any time sooner. It may be released next year.

Want to install all games and don`t want to loose speed by using a slow HDD? MSI gaming storage is a PCIe x8 interface card which provides 2 additional M.2 2280(221110) slots in Raid 0, which can provide up to 7200MB/sec.

MSI Hybrid Gaming Storage card is probably the best thing so far by MSI. The drawback, yet, is there is no news that the company will release it separately. Means, we will have to buy the whole MSI Branded Desktop System to test this out. We will keep providing you with the latest new.
