Microsoft starts offering self service Refund.
From now on Microsoft will offer self service refund on digital purchases through Xbox live across Xbox One and Windows 10 on PCs. Recently a reddit user gaymerRaver posted an image on reddit in which we can see the launch of self-service Refund.
“You’ve spoken; we’ve listened. In support of offering gamers the freedom of choice, we’re making changes to the Microsoft Store purchase experience by offering customers a simple way to instantly return digital products like games and apps through account.microsoft.com.
“When a game or app leaves you wanting more, we’re here to help. Self-service refunds on Xbox One and Windows 10 provide a quick, simple way of returning a digital product.”
Conditions for requesting a refund.
From now on you can ask for a refund however there are some certain conditions. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase and you should have less than 2 hours spent on that game across all acounts. The game or app must be downloaded and opened and you must wait for 1 day after the release of the game before you request a refund.
There are certain apps that are not eligible for self service refund such as DLCs, Season passes and add-ons
How to request A Refund?
Requesting a refund is easy. Just login to your Microsoft account. Go to Payment & Billing and click Order History. From there navigate to a purchases game or app for which you want a refund and select Request a refund. Simple as that!
