New Intel Core i9 Series leaked featuring Core i9-7920X, Core i9-7900X, Core i9-7820X And Core i9-7800X

A recent leak by Videocardz alleges that the new Intel`s processor lineup will feature Six new CPUs; i7-7740K, i7-7640K, along with all new Intel Core i9 series showing off Core i9-7920X, Core i9-7900X, Core i9-7820X and Core i9-7800X.

AMD Ryzen was getting all the spotlight till now. But now its Intel`s time. The all new Intel`s HEDT family processors featuring next-gen Core i9 processors along with Two Kabylake X architecture based CPUs and 4 Skylake X architecture based CPUs.

Intel Core i9-7920X Featuring 12 Cores and 24 Threads.

Intel Core i9-7920X is an absolute beast. This monster chip is loaded with 12 Cores and 24 Threads having 16.5 MB of L3 cache. i9-7920X supports up to 44 PCIe Gen 3.0 lanes. It features a quad channel IMC that will allow up to eight DDR4 Dual In-line Memory Modules(DIMMs) with TDP 160W. The Core i9-7920X is set to launch in August, a month after other HEDT processors. The benches have already appeared at userbenchmark’s website.

Other Core i9 and i7 HEDT Processors Specs.

The Intel Core i9-7900X features 10 Cores and 20 Threads based on the Skylake architecture having 13.75 MB cache. The base core clock of i9-7900X is maintained at 3.3 GHz that can be boosted up to 4.3 by Intel`s Turbo Boost 2.0 and up to 4.5 GHz with Intel’s Turbo Boost 3.0. i9-7900x also supports up to 44 PCIe Lanes like the 7920X and TDP 160W. Core i9-7900X Benches has also been revealed.

The Core i9-7820X and 7800X come with 8 Cores/16 Threads and 6 Cores/12 Threads respectively. Both CPUs support up to 28 PCIe Lanes. i9-7820X features 11 MB of L3 cache along with TDP of 140W with the base clock maintained at 3.6 GHz, 4.3 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 and 4.5 GHz with Turbo Boost 3.0. There is no Turbo Boost 3.0 for the 7800X. The 7800X has 8.25 MB of L3 cache, 3.5 GHz base clock and 4.0 GHz boost with Turbo Boost 2.0.

The Core i7-7740k based on Kaby-Lake architecture will be the most powerful quad core chip. The processor has the clock speed of 4.3 GHz and 4.5 GHz boost with Turbo Boost 2.0 having 8 MB L3 cache along with TDP of 112W. Can support up to 16 PCIe Lanes.




The last one in the list is the Core i7-7640K based on 14nm process node. i7-7640K clock speed is rated at 4.0 GHz and 4.2 GHz boost with Turbo Boost 2.0. This is an affordable quad-core processor with TDP rated at 112W. It also supports up to 16 PCIe Lanes.
