AMD Ryzen 5 Overclocked

AMD Ryzen 5 Overclocked to 5.9 Ghz.

AMD Ryzen 5 series was announced this week before after the launch of AMD Ryzen 7 series Chips. The AMD Ryzen 5 series contain less cores and are cheaper as compared to the 7 series chips. The Ryzen 5 1600X was overclocked to 5.9 Ghz.

The famous overclocker “Der8auer” managed to overclock the AMD Ryzen 5 series 1600X 6-core chip surprisingly to over 5.9 Ghz. He managed to overclock it without disabling any core and set a record for the highest overclock of a 6 core cpu. He used an Asus ROG Crosshair VI Hero X370 motherboard with 2GB of G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 RAM and a 128GB Samsung SSD running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit version. During Der8auer’s visit to Taiwan he made a video of overclocking the AMD Ryzen 5 cpu which he published on his Youtube channel few days ago. He used the Liquid Nitrogen cooling technique while overclocking the CPU. He ran some benchmarks of the overclocked CPU and achieved some record breaking results.

Here are the CPU-Z OC results published by Der8auer.
